We are looking for a Regional Business Investment Controller for GEODIS EUROPE Headquarters located in Frankfurt am Main!

What will be your main responsibility :

To optimize value creation and risk management, any commercial agreement, lease, investment, expense and legal or social reorganization must be approved by specific investment committees.

As the Regional Business Investment Controller for the Europe Region, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and ensuring compliance with these policies. You will work closely with local financial teams, sales, corporate, and other stakeholders to ensure that policies are well understood and adhered to.

A variety of tasks are waiting for you, amongst others :

  • Overseeing upcoming commitments in collaboration with EUROPE Region local country teams, both new and renewals, while ensuring that validation levels are accurately defined, timelines are clear,
  • Efficiently managing the organization, planning, and prioritization of tasks and responsibilities,
  • Evaluating and challenging country business cases, suggesting improvements to enhance clarity, consistency, and completeness of both financial and non-financial documents,
  • Preparing high-quality regional business cases by collaborating with regional teams (Key Account Managers, Tender Team, Controlling, Product Owners, etc.) to facilitate informed decision-making,
  • Compiling insights from group experts (Legal, Compliance, CSR, Operations, etc.) to support business cases,
  • Tracking approved cases to identify deviations from actuals, implementing new controls for future cases,
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team through digitalization, automation, training of local stakeholders, and documenting standard operating procedures.

You bring along :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Analysis, or a related field,
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or business control, ideally within an English-speaking environment and involving cross-regional projects,
  • Strong ability to structure and present data clearly and effectively,
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment,
  • Proficient in financial modelling, analysis, and investment appraisal,
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word,
  • Fluent in English, French and / or German is a plus.
