Overview

We are looking for an experienced freelance Business Development Manager – Tenders to support our growth in the German pharmaceutical market. In this role, you will take the lead on all tender-related activities — from identifying and managing opportunities to driving successful submissions and negotiations.

This freelance assignment is ideal for a consultant with deep knowledge of Germany’s pharmaceutical procurement landscape, including hospitals, payers, and public sector institutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring we remain competitive and compliant while securing new business.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the tender lifecycle : identify, evaluate, and submit bids for government, hospital, and institutional tenders in Germany.
  • Develop winning strategies : analyze pricing benchmarks, competitor activity, and market trends to deliver strong, compliant bids.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts : ensure post-award execution, pricing updates, and renewals align with company and legal requirements.
  • Build key relationships : engage with procurement decision-makers, payers, and public institutions to strengthen our market presence.
  • Drive profitability : collaborate with finance and commercial teams to set pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with sustainable growth.
Your Profile
  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical tenders in Germany (3–5+ years).
  • Strong understanding of local procurement processes, reimbursement systems, and tender platforms.
  • Skilled negotiator with strong commercial acumen and project management ability.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., AMNOG, EU tenders law, GMP / GDP).
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
