Help Duties

• Serves as Facility Assistant in a fitness facility. Works under the direction of the Fitness Facility Manager.
• Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral, as appropriate.
• Assists with the publicity of programs and events. Assists with marketing of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
• Issues and receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors fitness equipment conditions; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and special events as needed.
• Must possess a driver's license.
• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Possess satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Successfully complete a health screening.
• Possess the ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, and complete MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).

Qualifications

Possess directly related work experience demonstrating the ability to operate multiple fitness facilities at a complexity level equivalent to NF-01.

Applicants claiming highly qualifying criteria such as previous civilian fitness facility or military Physical Fitness Center experience, sound customer service, business management, and marketing skills, understanding of fitness equipment usage and maintenance, certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and proven communication, organizational, and planning skills will be prioritized.
