Zusammenfassung

The U.S. Air Force at Spangdahlem AB, Germany, is seeking an enthusiastic recreational information assistant for the Eifel Mountain Golf Course. You will support patrons with golf services, merchandise, equipment rental, and course operations.

The role requires working days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to learn about golf operations and customer service in a busy, military community setting.

Qualifikationen

  • Experience in golf course operations including the rules of golf, equipment sale and repair, tournament organization and handicapping.
  • Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items.
  • Skill in dealing with the public.

Aufgaben

  • Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of all Eifel Mountain Golf Course operations to include: course pro shop and food/beverage operations, driving range, course starter, course marshal, cart rental, club storage and caddy activities.
  • Provides guidance for selection of golf equipment and merchandise.
  • Recommends appropriate level of golf instruction to interested patrons.
  • Schedules tee times, golf clinics, lessons, and tournaments.
  • Assists patrons with sales/purchases (to include food and beverage), golf club rental, assigns golf carts, sells pro-shop merchandise, processes patron special orders, and informally demonstrates equipment usage.
  • Explains course safety rules and regulations to patrons.
  • Receives and logs merchandise and creates merchandise displays.
  • Ensures all sales, fees and charges are rung up on the cash register. Responsible for maintaining the pro shop in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
  • Assists the manager with daily deposits, receiving, inventories, scheduling, payroll, and specialty programs
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Eifel Mountain Golf Course, Spangdahlem AB, Germany.

Work schedule is Monday through Sunday, days, evenings and holidays.

Military Spouse Preference is lost if selected for this position.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to provide recreational information and support to patrons relative to golf course operations, participation, instruction, available services merchandise, and equipment rental.

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
