Amazon (OpsTech Solution Supply Chain - OTS SC) has an immediate opening as RAD (Rapid Asset Deployment) Process Assistant to support our new building within the RAD program. The OTS SC organization manages and is responsible for a wide variety of hardware testing and deployment, new device launches, and project initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT.

As RAD Process Assistant, you are responsible for either administrative Ops support — resolving tool-related blockers and preparing virtual environments to ensure smooth item flow in operations — or independent operational support on the shop floor, owning one or more process paths according to daily setup (Dock, Receive, Pick / Pack, Provision). The role also includes safety aspects, such as maintaining a neat and clean work environment, eliminating safety risks, and waste management compliance in RDE1.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Support and work independently in the department as required
  2. Assist in daily management of department duties, including labor allocation, leading stand-up meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external partners
  3. Follow policies, track attendance (not disciplinary duties)
  4. Track and report labor hours, adjust labor movements
  5. Assist on the shop floor as a resource, train associates, verify SOP compliance
  6. Ensure area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedback on associate performance
  7. Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives
  8. Perform production duties as needed
  9. Understand workflow and daily production goals
  10. Review and update SOPs as necessary
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area, submit safety audits
  12. Identify and address safety hazards
  13. Coach associates to work safely at all times
  14. Participate in safety initiatives
  15. Report all job injuries immediately to the area manager
About the team

The OTS SC RAD team provides IT hardware to internal customers like AMZL, VF, or FCs. We handle receipt, repair, provisioning/image creation, and shipping of IT equipment, from handheld scanners to peripherals and laptops. We also build and prepare IT infrastructure for new building launches. We are a crucial behind-the-scenes team supporting operations to deliver to our customers.

Grundqualifikationen
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
