Amazon (OTS SC) has an immediate opening as RAD Area Manager to support our new building RDE1. The Operations Technology Solutions Supply Chain organization manages a wide variety of hardware testing, deployment, new device launches, and project initiatives across business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT. We believe diversity improves teams and are looking for individuals of different genders, ages, backgrounds, and experiences.

We seek individuals who are willing to work hard, have fun, and join us in making history. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Steering all warehouse flow activities — receive, stow, pick, pack, provision, RMA
  • Managing all dock flow activities — inbound and outbound
  • Allocating daily and weekly RAD Support AA resources to meet demand
  • Coordinating incoming and outgoing trucks with the dock team
  • Monitoring weekly and daily forecasts versus capacity for all standard RAD tasks
  • Troubleshooting and supporting RAD Support AAs in daily activities
  • Ensuring correct processing of requests in DSCS
  • Inventory management
  • Monitoring and reporting on KPIs
  • Steering ICQA activities within RDE1, including weekly cycle counts, inventory maintenance, and physical storage upkeep (5S, etc.)
  • Monitoring threshold levels using DSCS and inventory dashboards
  • Balancing inventory between 3PL and RAD
  • Enforcing safety guidelines and executing H&S audits
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment for the team
  • Collaborating in a diverse team with rapidly changing priorities in an ambiguous environment
  • Standing and/or walking during a minimum 8-hour shift
  • Lifting up to 35 pounds and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Working in environments subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • Master’s degree or 5+ years of Amazon experience
  • Ownership mindset and team leadership experience
  • Experience in process improvement and data-driven analysis
  • Fluency in German and English

Preferred:

  • Curious mindset and proactive project leadership
  • Enjoyment of analytical work and data utilization
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and meet deadlines
