To strengthen our team, we are seeking a self-motivated, energetic R&D Validation Scientist to join our automated electrophoresis product line within the Cell and Biomolecular Analysis Division, where we develop best-in-class automated electrophoresis instruments and reagents. As a member of an international team, you will work in diverse cultural environments, maintaining effective lines of communication and a positive work atmosphere.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Working with a cross-functional team, design and execute projects within the Validation department.
  • Validate performance of new Agilent Automated Electrophoresis instrumentation and assays.
  • Support quality of current products through corrective and preventative action (CAPA) investigations and continuous product improvement projects according to the product life cycle.
  • While managing validation projects, work closely with marketing, quality, product support and manufacturing teams.
  • Follow Agilent's product life cycle and document experimental design, test plans and test results.
  • Prepare progress reports and presentations for project teams as well as management.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory work record and adhere to laboratory operation procedures.
  • Ensure effective timely communication with Agilent’s Validation team, cross-functional project team and management.

Contract Term : 1-Year Fixed-Term Contract

Work Location : This position is 100% on-site; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

  • University degree in the field of Biotechnology, Medical Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently as well as a part of the team.
  • Analytical thinking, critical data analysis and attention to details.
  • Strong track record of timely completion of tasks, preparation and delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Good organizational skills and maintenance of accurate laboratory records.
  • Excellent English language skills, German language skills are desired.
  • Ability to work in a diverse international team, good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Proven hands-on laboratory work experience, including practical experience with electrophoresis in research. Practical experience in the separation of DNA, RNA and proteins is strongly desired.
  • Experience in designing and executing laboratory experiments for products’ testing and validation is strongly desired.
  • Good knowledge of Agilent’s Automated Electrophoresis products and / or practical experience working with such products is desired.
