We are currently seeking a highly motivated Quantitative Researcher to join our high-performing Systematic Equity Team, which manages over EUR 70 billion in assets under management. Based in our Frankfurt office, you will contribute to advancing our investment philosophy, which leverages systematic approaches to capture risk premiums such as value, trend-following, and quality across diverse market conditions.

What You Will Do

  1. Conduct in-depth research on systematic equity investment strategies to deliver consistent excess returns.
  2. Collaborate with portfolio managers to integrate quantitative insights into investment strategies.
  3. Design, develop, and enhance quantitative investment processes and tools to support portfolio management, reporting, and marketing activities.
  4. Present research findings and model outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
  5. Create high-quality materials and whitepapers to educate sophisticated clients on quantitative investment solutions.
  6. Analyze performance data and present insights to internal and external stakeholders, including clients.
  7. Stay updated with the latest developments in quantitative finance and equity markets.
What You Bring

  1. Proven experience (4+ years) in the financial industry, focusing on quantitative research, fund management, or signal implementation.
  2. Advanced academic credentials, such as a PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or related fields.
  3. Strong programming expertise in tools like Python, R, PySpark, SQL, and frameworks such as Shiny, Dash.
  4. Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques as well as asset pricing models and relevant economic theories.
  5. Experience in Azure Cloud Technologies (e.g., Databricks, MLflow) or other relevant frameworks.
  6. Proficiency in financial market data tools such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and familiarity with unstructured and alternative datasets.
  7. Exceptional intellectual curiosity, critical reasoning, and attention to detail, combined with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
  8. Outstanding analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset to thrive in a global team environment.
  9. CFA designation or progress towards CFA is preferred.
