Self-driving cars, environmental protection, stem cell therapy - these are just a few of the topics we encounter in our work, even though we don't do any research. However, the majority of our customers come from the world of science. For example, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Cologne and Fraunhofer Institutes use our Converia software to manage conferences and congresses more easily. For almost 20 years, Converia has been ensuring that important findings are disseminated more quickly.

We are currently redeveloping our software - in agile sprints every three weeks. We will soon be putting the first parts of the new system into productive use with our customers. We are looking for you to ensure that quality grows with our product. You will bring clear structures to our quality assurance and ensure that quality is always part of development.

This is what there is to do

From Your Very First Day With Us, You Will Feel Like An Integral Part Of Our Team. The Following Tasks Await You:

• Develop and establish a quality strategy: You will set up and develop a comprehensive quality and test management system.
• Responsible for test processes: In close cooperation with the development team, you will design, plan and implement suitable test procedures (manual and automated).
• Agile collaboration: You will be actively involved in our three-week sprints. You define test objectives and quality requirements and coordinate closely with the product owners and developers.
• Ensure release quality: You review requirements and user stories. The test plans you create support the acceptance and release of features for a release. You will also be involved in checking usability, visual appearance and accessibility.
• Error analysis and monitoring: You introduce a monitoring system such as Prometheus, Grafana or Elastic Stack, which helps us to monitor operational errors and system statuses. With the alerts and dashboards you configure, you proactively identify and prioritize errors. Based on the monitoring data, you work with the development team to quickly resolve errors and optimize operational processes.
• Documentation & Reporting: You compile meaningful metrics, reports and dashboards. This makes the quality status transparent and allows you to derive recommendations for action.
• Provide coaching & training: Raise the team's awareness of quality issues through training, workshops and know-how transfer.

What you bring with you

In addition to a successfully completed degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics or software engineering) or comparable training, you have several years of professional experience in software testing or quality management roles (ideally in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban). You are also characterized by the following skills:

• You have experience with common test management and/or automation tools (e.g. Bitbucket pipelines, Selenium, Cypress, Xray).
• You are familiar with agile working methods and know how to successfully implement test strategies in iterative development processes.
• You recognize connections quickly, communicate precisely and can clearly structure complex issues.
• You enjoy working with other teams from different disciplines and maintain open, solution-oriented communication.
• You like to take responsibility and contribute your ideas to help shape processes.
