Job Opportunity: Quality Engineer in Frankfurt

A Japanese multinational trading company in Frankfurt is currently recruiting a Quality Engineer for their office. You will be responsible for a wide range of quality roles alongside one Quality Manager.

The role involves diverse responsibilities, but prior experience in all areas is not mandatory. The company is willing to provide training for motivated candidates.

Requirements:

• Business level fluency in English or German
• Legal right to work in Germany (visa support not provided)

Details:

• Type: Permanent, full-time
• Working hours: 8:30-17:00, Monday to Friday (flexible hours negotiable)
• Salary: €50,000 or negotiable based on experience + bonus

Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance, auditing, and engineering
• Maintain good relationships with clients (mainly Tier 1 and Tier 2)
• Analyze root causes of defects and prepare countermeasure reports
• Negotiate quality issues with suppliers and customers
• Visit warehouses to evaluate imported product quality
• Develop sorting plans and manage defected products
• Approve incoming parts based on specifications
• Support projects like PPAP, environmental documentation, and process evaluation
• Technical discussions with clients and suppliers on manufacturing feasibility and quality requirements
• Guide suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and quality documentation
• Lead and manage the supplier quality department
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits
• Collaborate with Sales to promote new business opportunities

ISO Management:

Responsible for ISO 9001 management of operations.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Quality Engineering, Assurance, Supplier Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechanical Parts Sales
• Fluent in English or German
• Knowledge of QMS standards like IATF16949, ISO9001, VDA is advantageous
• Understanding of PPAP documentation (Control Plan, FMEA, Inspection Reports, Capability Studies, Gage R&R)
• Experience with VDA6.3
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as pressing, machining, forging, molding
• Strong analytical skills using tools like 5WHY, Ishikawa, Pareto, Histogram
• Willing to travel within Europe and Asia
• Attention to detail
