Quality Control Manager (f,m,d)

Job description:

The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for managing the quality control processes on site. Main responsibility is to ensure compliance with all product quality requirements, including those for pharmaceutical excipients and food additives.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with the required product quality according to relevant monographs and standards
  • Responsible for product/batch releases based on production and quality control data
  • Investigating deviations from product specifications (out-of-specification process)
  • First point of contact for product quality issues in the production
  • Conducting root cause analyses and defining corrective and preventive actions
  • Responsible for processing and investigating product quality complaints as well as defining and implementing corrective actions
  • Monitoring product quality data and key performance indicators and defining improvement measures
  • Handling product quality inquiries (internal and customer)
  • Supporting the implementation of quality strategies to achieve quality objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements according to ISO 9001, EXCiPACT GMP, FSSC 22000, Halal, and Kosher
  • Identifying optimization potential in the quality control area and implementing solutions in collaboration with local and global functions
  • Supporting change processes and projects by assessing their impact on product quality
  • Specification reviews and changes for raw materials and finished products in accordance with internal specifications
  • Support for quality management audits in accordance with ISO 9001, EXCiPACT GMP, FSSC 22000, Halal, and Kosher, as well as implementation of improvement measures
  • Conducting internal audits to verify compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Conducting internal training on quality requirements and processes
  • Creating and reviewing relevant written procedures
  • Communicating with other locations on quality topics (e.g. in global meetings)

Your qualification:

  • Bachelor or Master in a natural science, pharmacy, or engineering field
  • Several years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or quality management
  • Professional experience in a production facility in the food/pharmaceutical sector desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of all relevant standards in the areas of quality, excipients, and food additives (including ISO 9001, EXCiPACT GMP/IPEC-PQG GMP, FSSC 22000)
  • Good knowledge of quality control in the food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industries, including analytical and/or microbiological analyses
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, demonstrate initiative, and demonstrate precision
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work across functions and disciplines.
  • SAP experiences desirable
  • Very good German and English skills
