Jobtailor in Germany is seeking a senior Quality Leader for the Thick Film Materials product line. You will own the quality strategy, develop QA systems, and guide the laboratory and cross-functional teams to deliver robust quality and compliance.

You will lead supplier quality programs, APQP, and product development, interfacing with customers, production, and engineering to drive continuous improvement and risk management across the value chain.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field.
• At least 10 years experience leading cross-functional topics and in paste-systems application engineering.
• Experience planning and implementing strategic change processes and leading teams.
• Laboratory management with responsibility for inspection methods.
• Deep expertise in paste systems, high-temperature electronics, metal-ceramic composites, and joining technologies.
• Strong international communication skills and ability to represent the company in standards bodies.
• Knowledge of EHS and lab safety; ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPF, PPAP Core Tools.
• Confident handling of customer requirements and technical contracts.
• Strong knowledge of statistics and Six Sigma methods.
• VDA 6.3 Process Auditor qualification or ISO 19011 is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Take overall responsibility for the quality strategy of the Thick Film Materials product line.
• Ensure the consistent implementation of high quality standards.
• Strategically develop QA systems, inspection concepts, process controls, and measurement technologies.
• Provide technical leadership for the QA laboratory and lead the Quality Control team for Thick Film Materials.
• Develop inspection methods and analytical capabilities.
• Manage escalations involving critical quality deviations and customer complaints.
• Ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop Supplier Quality Management including supplier qualification and audits.
• Lead APQP and product development processes related to quality.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, Production, Engineering, and Innovation.
• Establish preventive quality and risk management across the value chain.
• Conduct audits, manage KPIs, analyze trends, and minimize risks.
• Initiate cross-functional quality projects and transformation programs.
• Manage customer and supplier technical requirements and contracts.
• Support introduction of innovative quality methods and processes.

• Ensure effective corrective and preventive actions
• Further develop Supplier Quality Management, including supplier qualification, supplier performance management, and risk-based audit and improvement programs
• Lead quality-related APQP and product development processes
• Serve as the key interface for customers, suppliers, Production, Engineering, and Innovation
• Establish and develop preventive quality and risk management across the entire TFM value chain
• Conduct audits, manage KPIs, perform trend analyses, and minimize risks
• Initiate cross-functional quality projects and transformation programs
• Manage technical customer and supplier requirements
• Support the introduction of innovative quality methods, technologies, and processes

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional topics and projects, as well as in the application engineering of paste systems
• Extensive experience planning and implementing strategic change processes, as well as managing employees and teams
• Experience managing a laboratory, including technical organization and responsibility for inspection methods
• In-depth expertise in paste systems, high-temperature electronics, metal-ceramic composite systems, and inorganic and metallic joining technologies
• Strong technical understanding and excellent communication skills in an international environment, with the confidence to represent the company in professional associations and standards committees
• Knowledge of EHS and laboratory safety, as well as ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and the APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPF, and PPAP Core Tools
• Confident handling of customer-specific requirements and technical contracts
• Strong knowledge of statistical and Six Sigma methods
• VDA 6.3 Process Auditor qualification or auditor competency in accordance with ISO 19011 is a plus
