Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a key position within American AVK Company. The Quality Inspector will be involved with all quality issues related to the manufacturing side of the business. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform incoming material inspections
2. Perform first article inspections (from internal and external sources)
3. Perform coating inspections
4. Monitor valve and hydrant assembly lines for production quality
5. Monitor valve and hydrant testing for production quality
6. Monitor coating testing and production quality
7. Perform internal ISO audits and corrective actions
8. Calibration of tools and test equipment

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work on special projects assigned and prioritized by the company

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Record keeping skills with computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Organizational and scheduling skills for daily workload
