DESCRIPTION

The Fire TV team is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and talented Quality Assurance Engineer with experience testing consumer products such as set-top boxes and tablet computers built on the Android operating system. This role offers the opportunity to impact innovative products used daily by consumers worldwide. You will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to design and develop new consumer products.

As a QAE on the Fire TV QA team, you will ensure the quality of new device launches through automated and manual testing, defect reporting and verification, and sign-off on features and release candidates. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and cases. You will serve as the primary contact with external certification partners to ensure product quality. Your work will influence the quality, delivery speed, and customer satisfaction of our software products. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and other QA team members is essential to ensure high-quality deliverables. Additionally, you will have opportunities to suggest improvements to existing processes and automation tools to enhance team efficiency and product quality.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation and manual testing, with strong knowledge of core testing techniques and a focus on quality assurance upstream in the development process.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in quality assurance engineering
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience in manual testing
• Experience leading QA efforts on medium to large projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium or Appium
• Experience in developing detailed test plans and defining quality metrics
