Leicester City Council is seeking an experienced adult social care solicitor to join the Adult Social Care legal team. You will handle a diverse caseload including mental health, community care and judicial review, providing high-quality legal advice and advocacy for the Council.
The role is career graded (LG Band 9-LG Band 11) with progression by appraisal; hybrid working arrangements are available with flexibility around home working.

You will hold responsibility for a diverse and rewarding caseload of adult social care and related matters, providing quality legal advice and support including undertaking advocacy for the Council.
This is a career graded post (LG Band 9-LG Band 11). Appointment to a level will depend on the outcome of the selection process and experience of the successful candidate. Progression will be by satisfactory performance, agreed at annual appraisals and through on-going supervision.
You will have post qualification experience of adult social care cases including mental health, community care and judicial review. You will have demonstrable advocacy, negotiating and advisory skills together with a good appreciation of risk management. You will be highly motivated with strong organisational skills and a pro-active approach which will ensure that you are able to successfully prioritise work. Your excellent communication skills, both written and oral, will ensure that you are able to work with a wide of people and represent the service in a professional, client focused manner.
