ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Berlin, Audible GmbH is looking for a Publisher Relations Manager - Spain. In this role, you will build relationships, initiate and conduct negotiations for audiobook acquisitions from book and audiobook publishers, with a focus on Spanish language publishers. You will be responsible for a wide variety of relationships, negotiations, catalogue performance of our European audiobook publishing vendors, to help deliver the leading spoken word catalogue for our Spanish-speaking audiences.

This position is initially open through a 24-month contract.

As a Publisher Relations Manager - Spain, you will:

1. Be responsible for the development of the quality and productivity of relationships with publishing houses and key authors and agents assigned to you.
2. Help structure, initiate, and conduct negotiations for deals as part of the day-to-day relations with your key publishing vendors.
3. Support the European content acquisition teams by negotiating deals with different European rightsholders, according to evolving business needs.
4. Collaborate closely with the local European and global Audible teams to foster synergies and efficiencies across our Publisher Relations efforts to serve our European audiences and publishers.
5. Be the first point of contact for external requests and support the team with various administrative and project-related tasks as well as presentations - e.g., business reviews.
6. Leverage analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators to improve the quality and quantity of the Spanish language catalogues and support the team in acquiring the best content.

1. Professional Degree (JD, MBA, M.A., M.S., or other post-graduate degree) in a relevant field.
2. 5+ years of relevant experience in international intellectual property rights licensing businesses (preferable from the wider media, television, film or computer game industry).
3. Negotiation proficiency in Spanish and English.
4. Proficient communication skillset (verbal and written English); with the ability to effectively communicate complex deal terms in a convincing and simple manner.

1. Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity, and rapidly evolving environment.
2. Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and business goal-oriented, also in difficult negotiations and under narrow timelines.
3. Willingness to travel internationally for business.
