Public Sector Account Executive
Job Description
Senior Account Executive - German Army / Public Sector

Serves as the primary account lead for the German Army and select federal states, including local governments and data center providers. Understands clients' key business and IT challenges, focusing on delivering value while maximizing revenue and margins. Specializes in value selling around cloud-native transformation projects, with a focus on expanding the installed base and acquiring new customers. Positions SUSE’s cloud-native, hybrid IT, and Edge solutions to generate value for clients. Accounts may be managed remotely or onsite, primarily supported by presales and inside sales teams.

Responsibilities :
  1. Develop go-to-market strategies and sales pipelines to increase market share within assigned accounts.
  2. Focus on larger deals and opportunities, managing the full portfolio of SUSE products and solutions (OS, Container Management platform, Edge).
  3. Collaborate with management to develop future business plans and independently determine achievement methods.
  4. Leverage a diverse set of external partners extensively.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT and business executives, including C-level stakeholders.
  6. Apply consultative selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities, ensuring profitable revenue growth.
  7. Analyze industry and competitive research to facilitate meaningful client dialogues.
  8. Manage and protect account business, coordinate forecasts, planning, and reporting.
  9. Coordinate all activities related to the account(s).
  10. Generate new business, monitor, and manage sales pipeline activities.
  11. Achieve quarterly, half-yearly, and annual sales quotas.
  12. Update all opportunities weekly in the pipeline management tool.
  13. Build a list of customer references for in-person or print use.
  14. Act as the first interface for German Public Sector accounts.
Experience Required :

Must have : Knowledge and experience with the German Army (BWI, BaainBW)

Proven sales track record in the German Public Sector

Experience in cloud-native technology sales

Experience with MEDDIC sales methodology

Typically 8+ years of relevant experience
