Job Description:

As a Mechanical/Mechatronics Technician, you will be a valuable member of the Droneport team and take ownership of building, assembling, and testing mechanical and electromechanical systems that bring our droneport technology to life. With our world-class team of hardware and software engineers, you will play a pivotal role in pushing the boundaries of drone operating platforms. You will work closely with engineers across disciplines to prototype, refine, and validate integrated subsystems, ensuring high-quality builds from the lab bench to the field. With a focus on hands-on implementation and system-level awareness, you will support Quantum Systems in its mission to become the benchmark for aerial data collection solutions with unmanned aerial systems (sUAV).

What is your Day to Day Mission:

Assemble and test mechanical subsystems, PCBs, housings, and prototypes according to technical drawings and instructions.

Support electronics integration including cable harnessing, sensor installation, and hardware interfacing.

Conduct functional tests and validation procedures, documenting results and observations.

Support debugging of mechanical and electrical integration issues.

Maintain workshop and tools, contributing to a safe and efficient lab environment.

Provide feedback to engineering teams for design improvements and manufacturability.

What you bring to the team:

Completed technical training in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in prototyping, assembly, or maintenance of industrial, robotic, or automation equipment.

Skilled in reading and contributing to technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Excellent knowledge of materials, tools, adhesives, fasteners, and construction techniques used in integrated systems.

Experience with sensor mounting, PCB handling, and electro-mechanical integration.

Experience with SMD soldering is a plus.

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and quality.

A self-starter who thrives in dynamic, hands-on environments.

Communication in English is second nature to you.
