Prototype Design Engineer (CAD/CAM) (m/f/d)2 years fixed-term

We are seeking capable candidates to extend our team with capabilities to design and implement our internal technology prototypes.An ideal candidate would possess deep understanding and avid interest in all elements of early mechanical and industrialization prototype design.You would be participating in the design and creation of prototypes from the earliest stage of idea till performance-demonstratable results evaluation. Your results would be accomplished in close collaboration with an international team of highly self-motivated cross-domain experts.

Your mission

• Design 3D models meeting functional requirements of vehicle integration and manufacturability.
• Develop and iterate design models using CAD software.
• Generate detailed technical drawings and specifications for prototype manufacturing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as suppliers and external partners.
• Evaluate fabrication methods and materials to be used to meet project constraints.

Your areas of expertise

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on prototype design. •
• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing prototypes using CAD/CAM software.
• Proven expertise in 3D modeling, technical drawing, CAD/CAM.
• Strong communication capabilities, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and technical details.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Experience with physical simulation and stress analysis tools is a plus.
• Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English.
• Willing to travel to China (up to 20% of time).
