Protection and Resilience Manager (m / f / d)

We are looking for a Protection and Resilience Manager (m / f / d), based in Munich and London.

Your Team

You will be part of a global team overseeing various functions in COO Operational Resilience and Core Applications, including Protection & Resilience, Information Security, Supplier Risk Management, and Core Applications.

The Impact You Will Have

The Protection and Resilience Manager is a key leadership role responsible for implementing and maintaining the Protection and Resilience framework across Allianz Commercial. You will work directly with the Agile operational resilience team as Product Owner, managing epics to mitigate risks to locations, employees, and processes. Key responsibilities include overseeing Business Continuity, Physical Security, Crisis Management, Global Incident Management, External Fraud, and regulatory reporting.

This role involves continuous oversight of functions, incident management, strategic alignment, stakeholder collaboration, and regulatory compliance.

Some of your specific responsibilities include:

• Monitoring Protection & Resilience functions within the organization.
• Implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of the Protection & Resilience framework.
• Ensuring strategic alignment among Protection & Resilience domains.
• Maintaining compliance with regulations and standards, and documenting processes.
• Facilitating audits, reviews, and resource allocation for Protection & Resilience.
• Updating policies to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
• Managing incident reporting, crisis exercises, and threat assessments.
• Acting as the Protection & Resilience product owner within the Agile setup, defining change epics.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Expertise in risk management, crisis management, or business continuity.
• Experience responding to security incidents and crises.
• Proven leadership in large, complex organizations.
• Knowledge of Protection & Resilience frameworks (e.g., ISO standards).
• Experience working with C-level executives and Boards.
• Hands-on incident and crisis management skills.
• Provider and third-party management capabilities.

Proficiency in incident management processes.

Staying updated with emerging AI technologies and ensuring ethical AI practices will be essential for maintaining a competitive edge.
