Responsibilities:

• Literature research and evaluation of the state of the art in protein enrichment from legumes and the methods used to measure protein content.
• Production of different samples of protein-containing fractions in the laboratory or pilot plant with targeted variation of the influencing variables on the NIR measurement (near-infrared spectroscopy) and measurement of the protein content with the existing NIR measuring device.
• Comparison of the results with the measurement results of a test laboratory and modeling to correct the NIR measurement taking into account the influencing variables.
• Development of proposals for the use of the NIR method for inline measurements in the process.

Your profile:

• Studies in the field of process engineering, food technology or a comparable degree program.
• Ideally initial knowledge of protein enrichment processes.
• Fluent German and good English skills as well as team and communication skills.
• Ability to familiarize yourself quickly and work independently.
