Project / Subproject Manager for EO Payloads & Missions (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Establishment, supervision, development, and technical leadership of the project team to ensure appropriate team performance
• Holding regular project meetings
• Interface and responsible person towards the program manager, customers and suppliers
• Regular reporting on the status of the project / sub-project with all relevant stakeholders
• Monitoring and controlling the technical progress, schedule, cost, and quality of the project
• Responsibility for accurate and timely resource planning for the project in collaboration with the project manager, department and team leaders and HR Business Partner
• Definition of the project / subproject schedule and definition and implementation of the budget allocation for the project / subproject
• Implementation of the OHB risk management process in the project and performance of regular risk assessments within the project team, implementation of risk mitigation measures
• Definition / Establishment of work orders for the operational units
• Supporting the project team with operational tasks as required

Your Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, preferable with a specialization in aerospace, or a comparable qualification, e. g. physics or industrial engineering
• Several years of experience as a project / sub-project manager (m/f/d) in another company or several years of professional experience in a technically related position in space projects
• High level of communication and leadership skills as well as assertiveness, a sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility, negotiation skills, flexibility and an effective and independent way of working
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility, commitment, and resilience round off your profile
• Good written and spoken English language skills
• Relevant knowledge of common MS Office and project management tools (MS Project & Planisware)
• Willingness to travel
• Project management certification is an advantage (e.g. IPMA)
