Qualifikationen

Jobbeschreibung

For our client – a global industrial equipment design and manufacturing company – we are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Project Sales Engineer / Manager .

About the Role

Your role will be to maximize company growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (for defined Key and strategic accounts). In this role, you will be working with key accounts and building long-term sustainable relationships to develop our sales business strategy. You will be leading a proactive sales approach to meet our Annual Operating Plan for Projects / systems business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will be responsible for acquiring new business opportunities with new and existing customers to meet ambitious business growth plans. You will have a strong market and customer focus and be able to translate this into clear business strategies to generate growth, working proactively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account management to maintain and grow existing business (Global and Regional Key and strategic accounts).
  • Promote complex solutions and plant upgrades leveraging the company range of process equipment and technologies.
  • Business development of new accounts within the company.
  • Demonstrate ‘added value’ to customers through the company range of products, technologies, and services.
  • Follow sales targets aligned with region and portfolio.
  • Develop sales to meet customer business needs and drivers.
  • Creating and developing business relationships internally and externally.
  • Clearly defining customers’ requirements, undertaking investment qualifications and timelines.
  • Territory customer planning and customer visits to maximize sales effort.
  • Accurate forecasting, data, and communication.
  • Assess competitor activities.
  • Take appropriate action in determining priorities and strategies.
  • Regular reporting and forward planning together with input into the customer database.

What You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in selling integrated technical solutions for food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or chemical processing.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with, to present to and to influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • B category driver’s license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel around 50%.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to influence a strong team of sales channels and customers.
  • Solid understanding of business, financials and products / services.
  • Excellent communication skills including customer relationship management and building relationships with various internal and external partners at a native German language level .
  • Strong presentation skills, including preparation and delivery of technical and sales demonstrations to senior levels.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a constructive problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in Consultative Selling, striving to understand the customers' needs and motives, and being adept at selling the value proposition of the optimal solutions.
