Your responsibility will be to establish and uphold quality control measures during the phase between project initiation and the start of production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee that the product design, materials, and manufacturing processes align with our quality standards. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful transition from concept to production.

We are currently looking for a Project Quality Engineer (m/f/d) for our Head Office in Cologne. The Project Quality Engineer oversees the quality management processes for our projects, ensuring that all products and services meet the required standards and specifications.

Verantwortungsbereiche

YOUR TASKS:

Quality Planning & Homologation:

1. Take ownership of product quality from design through production
2. Responsible for the homologation of materials, components, and products throughout the development process
3. Create and maintain project-specific quality homologation plans
4. Establish quality standards, guidelines, and procedures, including specification of assemblies
5. Ensure products meet all regulatory and customer requirements

Risk Management & Monitoring:

1. Lead and review product risk analysis on a regular base
2. Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with quality standards
3. Identify, document, and report quality issues and defects
4. Track project milestones to ensure quality deliverables are met on time
5. Report on quality status at key project milestones and ensure any issues are resolved promptly

Engineering Change & Continuous Improvement:

1. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
2. Tracking of change projects and tracking of measures
3. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
4. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence
5. Ensure smooth transfer to production and transfer responsibility to quality assurance

Collaboration and Communication:

1. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
2. Provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices
3. Facilitate quality meetings and reviews

Documentation and Reporting:

1. Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records and documentation
2. Prepare and present quality reports and performance metrics to team lead

Profil

YOUR PROFILE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is advantageous
2. At least 4-5 years of practical work experience in a quality management environment
3. Fluent English and German language skills (must have)
4. Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the manufacturing or consumer goods industry, with specific experience in the luggage or luxury industry being a plus
5. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and product development processes
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify potential quality issues and recommend effective solutions during the early stages of product development
7. Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners during the project phase
9. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with a strong attention to detail
10. Proficiency in documentation and report writing to maintain comprehensive quality records and facilitate effective decision-making during the project phase
