Project Planning and Controls Specialist (f/m/d)

As a Project Planning and Controls Specialist, you will be part of Hitachi Energy HVDC business. You will act as a key resource for planning, scheduling, controlling, and monitoring customer-specific large-scale projects. Your role includes delivering accurate and thorough project status updates, covering schedule, progress, planned and actual figures, forecasts, resources, productivity trends, and risks, to project managers and line managers in a timely manner.

How you'll make an impact

• Lead the Project Planning and Controlling team for one or more HVDC projects in the region.
• Contribute to the on-time delivery of projects by driving collaboration between partners, stakeholders, and customers.
• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders as a central contact person.
• Monitor and control project progress using Hitachi Energy policies and best practices to ensure customer requirements are met on time and within contract.
• Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental directives.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in EPC project controls/management (engineering, procurement, construction).
• Certification such as PMI-PMP is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6.
• Strong communication skills, customer orientation, structured working methods, and teamwork ability.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
