Overview

MSA has a new opportunity for a Project Manager - Transportation (Roads) in our Bettendorf, IAoffice.

This dynamic role involves supporting project teams in various construction services, managing a wide range of complex infrastructure projects, and mentoring field staff to ensure timely project completion.

Responsibilities

Your Mission:

  • Communicate with internal and external clients in support of existing projects and the development of new projects
  • Provide oversight and guidance to less experienced colleagues in the field and provides constructability feedback and guidance to project design team.
  • Regularly interact in a professional manner with the Public on project related issues.
  • Perform marketing and business development in partnership with Team Leader, Client Liaisons, and Client Service Managers.
  • Assesses Scope and Capabilities of the project, prepare Project Management Plan, QA/QC Plan and other plans necessary for successful project completion.
  • Communicate via meetings, emails and other documentations to all stakeholders.
  • Lead, oversee and/or perform construction layout staking services and/or survey layout services.
  • Ensure delivery on all commitments, conduct quality reviews, and utilize a process/checklist for closeout.
  • Track budget and review invoices.
Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School diploma required
  • Associates in Civil, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with survey equipment for data collection, layout and with construction related services.
  • Professional licensure or project management/business/construction management preferred.
  • Strong initiative to complete projects on time.
  • Proven skills in empathetic communication, crucial conversations and effective mentoring of team.
  • Top notch negotiating skills.
  • Ability to excel independently and within a team-based environment.
  • GIS, CADD and various proprietary and commercially available software experience required
  • Survey equipment and various field-testing equipment experience required.
