Your main tasks and responsibilities :

In this technically and commercially demanding role, you will support our customers and the Nuclear sales team along the entire sales process. Your day-to-day work will among others include:

1. Analyzing customer requirements, particularly of complex applications and products for nuclear power plants.
2. Developing suitable technical solutions independently, involving specialist departments.
3. Ensuring compliance with relevant export control regulations/laws (Citizenship EU member state necessary).
4. Consulting customers and the sales team on possible pump applications and in preparation of specifications.
5. Configuring pumps and accessories.
6. Evaluating subcontractor offers and expediting accordingly.
7. Cooperating with the plants in the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit factory network.
8. Analyzing and evaluating commercial and technical risks of projects at the bidding stage, negotiating with specialists, and developing risk mitigation approaches.
9. Preparing and presenting technical offers.
10. Managing and coordinating with multidisciplinary functions during bid preparation.
11. Preparing high-quality technical and commercial offers on time, aligning with market requirements using current tendering tools.
12. Reviewing received quotes, challenging stakeholders to ensure competitive proposals that meet sales and market expectations.
13. Being familiar with risks and hazards within role activities and implementing procedures to mitigate them.
14. Participating in sales negotiations, preparing, and following up in collaboration with the sales department.
15. Leading technical negotiations with subcontractors.
16. Ensuring complete and successful order handover to the project team.
17. Maintaining sales systems and data accurately.
18. Performing project reporting or other duties as defined by the Head of Tendering, Nuclear.

To succeed in this role, you will need :

• Completed technical studies (preferably in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, process engineering, or equivalent).
• A structured approach to work, capable of breaking down complex issues with the bid team.
• Experience in pump design, international tendering or sales, project management, or similar fields.
• Intercultural competencies (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of pumps or rotating equipment and accessories.
• Experience with nuclear power plant projects (preferred).
• Fluent in English (C2); additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally (~20%).
• Entrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumen.
• Strong social skills, customer orientation, assertiveness, resilience, and goal-oriented problem-solving abilities.
• High motivation and flexibility.
