Our goal is to help clients achieve carbon neutrality and net zero through developing sustainability strategies, calculating carbon footprints, and implementing measures like emission compensation and carbon trading. At Meo, we are a close-knit team of motivated young professionals from diverse backgrounds. We are seeking to expand our team with a Project Manager Sustainability Certification in a full-time permanent position at our Cologne headquarters.

In this role, you will...

• Support the development of sustainability certification schemes
• Manage consulting projects focusing on circular economy, bioeconomy, renewable fuels and energy, plastics, recycling, chemical products, and more
• Conduct data research, analysis, and evaluations for customer requests, and prepare reports and market studies
• Implement concepts and processes with our clients
• Contribute to the development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, and participation in client meetings and workshops
• Represent the company through presentations at public, national, and international events

Your profile

• University degree in economics, environmental engineering, chemistry, energy management, natural sciences, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, land management, or related fields
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in areas such as greenhouse gas calculations, sustainability certification, auditing for international supply chains
• Hands-on experience with RED methodology, sustainability certification schemes (e.g., ISCC, FSC), policy consulting, GHG Protocol, lifecycle assessments, etc., is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (at least C1); additional languages are a plus
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues simply and prepare professional presentations
• Proactive, committed, independent, and pragmatic working style
• Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office; high IT proficiency
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally
