Job Description

We are seeking a young professional fluent in German with a strong passion for managing technical projects. The ideal candidate will handle low to medium complexity projects or work packages within more complex projects. They will serve as the single point of contact for clients, effectively managing client and LR relationships, and support the management of high or medium complexity projects. In addition to project management, the role involves technical responsibilities and part-time offshore surveyor functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing individual or multiple projects aligned with LR Commercial Bid Notice.
• Preparing deliverables within specified parameters, formats, and timelines.
• Managing technical discussions and coordinating with discipline specialists.
• Performing structural or other qualified discipline inspections and verifications offshore and on platforms.
• Writing technical reports.
• Delivering services to internal and external clients following internal processes and procedures.
• Preparing and presenting project reports, ensuring quality and alignment with KPIs and processes.
• Coordinating technical and project-specific activities according to LR processes.
• Supporting proposal and bid management teams and senior project managers during bid and tender processes, ensuring timely completion of all activities.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Assess risks and work safely, adhering to health and safety rules and procedures.
• Report incidents, near misses, accidents, and safety observations promptly, raising concerns with managers or safety representatives.
• Promote and ensure understanding of LR safety culture and policies, aligning project activities accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Technical Project Management, or related sciences.
• Knowledge of structural or engineering fields, or other technical disciplines.
• Experience in large-scale industrial projects, preferably offshore wind or maritime sectors.
• Initial project management experience, ideally within project teams.
• Fluency in German (spoken and written) for technical documentation.
• Proficiency in English relevant to the role.

Candidate Profile

• Organized, adaptable, practical, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Proven experience and knowledge of marine structural environments.
• Ability to apply engineering knowledge and emerging technologies.
• Influential and motivational, able to advise and facilitate services effectively.
