Come and contribute to the development of Research & Development at Thermic Energy - and join our teams as a Project Manager on a permanent contract, starting as soon as possible.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager is responsible for projects of new product development among the Cylinder tanks for international market.
Based on a yearly product plan and other special customer requests, the Project Manager nominates project leaders to lead the development of new products. To achieve this target, the Project manager defines, organises and leads a team of contributors to follow our Groupe ATLANTIC method structured into 4 main stages:
- Stage 1 - opportunity: Create, share and update the project datasheet (PDS) with the Product Manager. Take account of all customers' needs. Define the boundaries of the project. Build the project team. Define the targets in terms of safety, quality, environmental impacts, scheduling and financial results. Ensure the determination of appropriate level to reach for each function based on our Internal Technical Standard (STI). Start the project risk analysis. Perform an opportunity review before the validation of PDS. Approval from pilot is a must.
- Stage 2 - feasibility: Organize the kick-off meeting. Build and federate the team of contributors by sharing the same objectives. Define and implement essential rituals and tools for the project progress: weekly action plan, visible schedule, monthly meeting, communication and reports (dashboards...). Following the V development methodology: project leader must initiate the validation plan and External Functional Analysis (EFA). STI criteria to be revised. Write and publish the project contract highlighting the involvement of team and their main duties. Initiate the profitability calculation and update it regularly. Analyze the most important task to achieve concerning finance, cost control and technical key points of feasibility. That shall be conducted with the help of internal and external contributors such as suppliers. Produce a project risk analysis and start the action plan. Anticipate the risk of cannibalization of existing products. Plan end of life management of replaced product. Start Design and Process FMEA. Organize a Risk review before the end of this stage. Organize the field tests. Organize a concept review with the Designers. Prepare and submit a feasibility review to the product committee to obtain the GO development.
- Stage 3 - Product / Process / Service design: Create the BOM and issue all drawings required to specify the product according to customers' needs. A design folder should contain product architecture, technical documentation and specifications with a mapping of relation to functional analysis. Revise weekly the validation plan with evidence of test and trials performed to control quality. Perform Initial Part Approval of all components and internal parts. Organize laboratory tests to ensure compliancy to regulation, norms, internal rules and all standard of the market. Perform Design Review for all components and final product.
- Stage 4 - Preseries: Organize the prototypes, first samples and pilot runs to reach the internal objectives: safety, quality and productivity. Publish the production authorization form, with an action plan if needed.
Serial / mass production: Publish the project evaluation. Improve our methods and knowledge by sharing the lesson learned. Validate after 6 months to 1 year the results and adjust it with action plan if necessary.
