You will have end-to-end responsibility of one or more of our projects, both towards the client and towards our internal organization. You will be responsible for managing the projects, the client, the project team, and you will ensure that the project schedule is executed in line with everybody's expectations, considering scope, cost, and time. Risk, change, supplier, and procurement management will be as important as managing the quality within the project. Outstanding communication skills in front of the various stakeholders will be of great importance. Besides the usual controlling activities on your project(s), monitoring and reporting progress towards the client and CGI's internal management is key for the role.

  10. are accountable for planning projects with multidisciplined teams (engineering, testing, quality, accounting) ranging in size and complexity.
  11. document and communicate project progress and status to all stakeholders.

You will receive extensive support and training to equip you with the CGI tools for project managers.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  1. Proven record of 5 years having managed end-to-end IT infrastructure and software projects, ideally in the space domain.
  2. Ability to work closely with technical teams to understand and grasp concepts and issues and translate those to schedule and cost impacts with a balanced approach to risk.
  3. Proven experience of implementing and managing project contracts.
  4. Experience in a variety of project management frameworks including Agile.
  5. Project Management Certification through PMI, IPMA, or similar.
  6. Knowledge of space mission systems engineering (e.g. ECSS) or MBSE is a big plus.
  7. Experience in leading and managing diverse multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  8. Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  9. Networked thinking, planning skills, assertiveness, and high resilience as well as a curious and open mindset.
