Qualifikationen

MENCK is looking for a full-time and permanent Project Manager (m/w/d) based at their facility in Kaltenkirchen, Germany.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Result-responsible technical and commercial order processing of international offshore projects in the segments of wind energy, port/bridge systems and oil and gas platforms as well as support in the development and production of complex hydraulically operated pile hammers.
• Higher-level planning, management, and control of all project activities from project takeover after contract signing to acceptance by the customer.
• Comprehensive customer advice to achieve the technically best solution to the problem.
• Interface in the company to the areas of sales, construction, production, and equipment management.
• Management/coordination of interdisciplinary teams.
• Checking/review of the contractual scope of services regarding completeness, ancillary agreements, and specifications.
• Definition and planning of project milestones as well as internal and external work packages.
• Querying and planning of resources, deadlines, and costs as well as evaluation of opportunities and risks.
• Permanently project controlling, deadline control, requesting and recording status reports, ensuring product development and production/assembly.
• Change management (e.g. recording bad weather periods, service delays) and claims management.
• Project documentation and follow-up, initiating process improvements.

Requirements:

• Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, plant construction, civil engineering (with basic commercial knowledge) or completed commercial degree with technically adept basic knowledge.
• Several years of professional experience in project management/order processing.
• Several years of practical experience in the fields of heavy/special purpose machine construction, shipbuilding, civil engineering or comparable; contract review/contract drafting desirable.
• User knowledge of MS Office and EDP-supported resource planning.
• Knowledge of MS Navision desirable.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Decisive, entrepreneurial team player with high customer and service orientation.
• Process-compliant, proactive, and independent way of working.
• Commitment, flexibility, and willingness to travel.
