Qualifikationen

At its Berlin location, Biosynth GmbH carries out contract development and manufacturing in the field of bioconjugation and polymer-based administration of active ingredients.

Purpose of the Role

To work as part of our Complex Chemicals division and be a dedicated Project Manager for the Berlin specific projects.

Role and Responsibilities

1. To successfully deliver the project objectives (e.g. results, processes, products) through a structured approach that includes: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitor and Control and Closure.
2. To build and lead the project team.
3. To ensure project scope, milestones, deliverables and client’s expectations are clear for all team members. To clarify roles and responsibilities and enable good use of individual technical and management skills.
4. To ensure proactive and transparent communication internally and with the client.
5. To initiate project plans in alignment with the Project Proposal. To plan communication plan including external and internal interfaces. To anticipate roadblocks in order to proactively solve and prevent deviations. To ensure all key interfaces are up to date and aligned to customer needs. To share our needs in order to be efficient and effective with the client.
6. To manage risk / uncertainty and control the scope of the project.
7. To control the scope of the PO and ensure that any out of scope work is duly addressed, being the BU decision to cover the difference with a new PO or not. To run a risk – impact analysis of project resources and to inform planning and purchasing. To propose and control the fixed costs and the investment budget. To measure and ensure good profitability of the project.

Essential Candidate Requirements

1. Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology
2. Experience with synthetic chemistry or bioconjugation would be preferred
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a scientific area such as R&D, Process development, Pilot Plant or Manufacturing ideally in a CDMO environment
4. Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Strong organisational skills
7. Fluent in English
8. Ability to build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally
9. Ability to multitask and work to demanding and changing schedules and priorities

Desirable Candidate Requirements

1. Familiarity with GMP production
2. Experience in Project management.
3. Fluent in German
