Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will work within a team to successfully manage and deliver planning projects. This role involves providing client-side project management support throughout all stages of the project delivery lifecycle.

Ideally, you will have a background in building planning and design project management, with experience in delivering a range of multi-disciplinary projects within the defence sector. Familiarity with working in large, geographically dispersed multidisciplinary teams on projects from feasibility to detailed design is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Client-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract management
  • Ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
  • Implementing quality management processes for project activities and outputs
  • Managing stakeholders, considering their levels of influence and interests
  • Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members
  • Identifying and acting upon business development opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Managing the delivery of project management team outputs within agreed timescales and quality standards
  • Coordinating and approving all management information produced by project management teams before issuance

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline
  • Engineering or Architectural background preferred
  • Excellent English skills; German language skills are a plus
  • Experience working with National Governments and DoD clients
  • Experience managing large architecture and planning projects
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed delivery teams
