With around 3,000 employees, the city of Pforzheim is one of the largest employers in the region. The Office for Digitalization and IT (DigIT) in the Mayor's Department is responsible for key tasks to position the city administration as a digital, innovative and modern service provider for citizens.
The "Smart City" department is responsible for the implementation and further development of the Smart City strategy. The aim is to make the city of Pforzheim more liveable, sustainable and efficient through the use of technologies and other innovative solutions.

Project manager for data-driven administration (W/M/D)
We offer you a full-time position limited until 31.12.2027. Depending on your professional and personal requirements, you will be placed in pay group 10 TVöD.
THE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Management of the "City, Country Data Flow" project with the sub-projects Digital Twin, Urban Data Platform, Data Strategy and Data Catalog
- Organization and management of the steering groups and workshops as part of the project and consolidation of the results
- Identification of relevant use cases and coordination of implementation
- Coordination and monitoring of project progress
- Planning, implementing and evaluating innovative digital and hybrid formats in the fields of participation, collaboration and knowledge transfer
- Active networking, initiation, participation and coordination of internal and external project partners
- Responsible management of working groups
- Analysis of trends in the smart city sector and identification and planning of new projects
- Coordination of procurement contracts and selection and management of external service providers
YOU HAVE
- a degree in economics, social sciences, business informatics or as a Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) or Bachelor of Arts - Digital Administration Management or Public Management or a comparable degree
- Knowledge and experience in the field of Smart City or willingness to acquire knowledge
- Very good organizational skills and knowledge of agile project management including service provider management
- Independent, results-oriented and flexible way of working
- Very good written and verbal communication skills, social skills and ability to work in a team
