A global conservation organization is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a significant project aimed at empowering women to lead natural resource management. You will coordinate project activities, manage deliverables, and ensure compliance with policies while leading a diverse team. As part of the regional priority on rights-based and people-centered conservation to achieve equitable conservation outcomes TNC Asia Pacific region is anticipating the launch of a project aimed at empowering women to lead improved NRM and build resilience to the impacts of climate change in the Coral Triangle (Ultimate Outcome). Of the six CT countries, project activities will be implemented on-the-ground in four countries (Indonesia, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Solomon Islands, and the Philippines) with training and participation in learning exchanges in all six CT countries including Malaysia and Timor Leste. The Project Manager supports the Project Director in the day-to-day management of the project, organize and coordinate diverse activities, including programmatic support, project communications and documentations. Under the supervision of the Project Director, they implement project activities and management solutions to meet the project objectives and outcomes.
The Project Manager leads the overall project coordination, establishes processes for project workplan development, tracks project deliverables and budget, and coordinates reporting across multiple project teams, partners and contractors. They will utilize project management methodologies and processes to meet project deliverables while fulfilling organizational and donor standards. The Project Manager supports the Project Director in liaising with partners and contractors, managing contracts, capturing/sharing project stories and lessons learnt, developing and disseminating communications materials, and organize project meetings and/or special events involving multiple teams and project partners. Under the supervision of the Project Director and in collaboration with project teams, the Project Manager will perform project risk management, analyze situations, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions in order to improve effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
The position is flexible in terms of location within the TNC Asia Pacific region, in countries where TNC may hire staff, with preference given to Indonesia, Solomon Islands and PNG or in countries where the project activities will be implemented. There is no sponsorship for relocation and support for immigration and visa.
