Project Manager – B2B Solar Projects (m / f / d)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of B2B solar PV projects across Germany. In this role, you will lead commercial-scale rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations, working closely with internal teams and managing external subcontractors to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery for commercial and industrial PV systems from planning through commissioning.
• Coordinate with external subcontractors, including electricians, roofers, and civil works partners.
• Oversee site assessments, permitting, scheduling, and construction logistics.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparency and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor budgets, timelines, quality standards, and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure subcontractor performance aligns with project requirements.
• Support technical planning teams in system design, component selection, and procurement coordination.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and progress reports.
• Interface with regulatory bodies, grid operators, and local authorities as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, construction management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in solar PV project management (B2B / commercial focus preferred).
• Proven track record of managing subcontractors and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Solid knowledge of solar technology, construction processes, and permitting requirements in Germany.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; fluent in German (C1 or higher).
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
