A specialist consultancy is looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record in government-backed R&D programmes. This role will see you managing scientific and engineering research projects, ensuring they meet regulatory, funding, and stakeholder requirements while maintaining technical excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading the end-to-end management of R&D projects within the public sector
Engaging with government agencies, research institutions, and industry partners
Ensuring technical and regulatory compliance in line with funding requirements
Managing budgets, timelines, and risk assessments for high-impact projects
Supporting the transition of R&D initiatives from concept to implementation

What You’ll Need:

Proven experience managing government-funded R&D contracts
Background in engineering, physics, or applied sciences (preferred)
Strong understanding of public sector research frameworks and compliance
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and risk management skills
Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams across science and engineering domains

• Fully remote but only considering candidates based in the UK
• Inside IR35
• Day rate: £500 - £700 per day
