Job summary

Element Human Limited is seeking a Project Manager to own delivery predictability, work visibility, and resource efficiency across the business. This first-in-function hire will design and implement the PM function, choose tools, and keep live projects moving with 70%+ on-time delivery and clear reporting.

You'll work with Operations, Engineering, Data, Product and Measurement, reporting to Head of Operations, across the UK, Europe and North America.

The role

As Project Manager, you own delivery predictability, work visibility, and resource efficiency across the business. We expect on-time delivery rates above 70%, 100% of active work tracked and visible in a single system, and estimation accuracy within 20% variance — all within your first six months.

This is a first-in-function hire. There is no existing project management system, tooling, or process. Your job is to assess what the company needs, propose how to solve it, and build it — while keeping live projects moving. You will work across Operations, Engineering, Data, Product, and Measurement. You report into the Head of Operations.

If you prefer clear boundaries and fixed processes, this may not be the right role. If you enjoy building things that don't exist yet, you'll probably thrive here.

What you'll do

• Build the project management function from scratch — assess needs, propose systems, and implement the tooling, processes, and cadences that make delivery predictable across the company.
• Run live projects spanning product development, technical infrastructure, and client delivery — owning timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation across a small, multi-disciplinary team.
• Create a single source of truth for all active work — so that leadership, engineering, and delivery teams share one picture of what's happening, what's blocked, and what's coming.

Who you'll work with

You're joining a team of engineers, data scientists, measurement specialists, client delivery leads, and growth — about 20 people across the UK, Europe and North America.

Your closest working partners will be the Head of Operations (your manager) and the CTO. You will interact with virtually every function in the company, from the data team building our behavioural models to the client-facing team delivering insights to Netflix, Amazon, and agency partners.

• 5–7 years of project management experience, ideally in a technology company or at the intersection of product and services delivery.
• You have built PM systems and processes from scratch before — not just inherited established frameworks.
• You actively use AI tools to accelerate your own work — project planning, reporting, analysis, communication. We are an AI company and we expect fluency, not just curiosity.
• Hands‑on experience with modern project management tooling (ClickUp, Linear, Jira, Notion, or similar). You have strong opinions on what works and can justify them.
• Solid understanding of software development processes. You do not need to write code, but you need to understand estimation, sprints, technical debt, and deployment workflows well enough to ask the right questions and push back credibly.
• Experience managing both technical projects (product builds, infrastructure migrations) and business operations projects (process redesign, tooling rollouts, delivery optimisation).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’ll translate project status into clear, honest narratives for audiences ranging from engineers to founders to external partners.
• Bonus: experience in AI, ad‑tech, media measurement, or SaaS companies at a similar stage (15–40 people, high growth, pre‑Seed).
