Background

Sanofi is investing in a new large, state-of-the-art facility for Insulin Drug Substance in Frankfurt, Germany. The facility will be fully automated, environmentally friendly, and designed as a modern biologics plant, focusing on insulin manufacturing. A global, cross-functional program organization will lead this project until commercial production.

About the Role

The PMO Lead for the Insulin Flex Facility (IFF) will ensure structured project execution, governance adherence, and stakeholder alignment. The role involves implementing global guidelines, standards, and governance structures, managing budgets, milestones, risks, and strategic communication. The candidate will coordinate efforts across international teams, working closely with global functions, insulin and China clusters, and the E2E lead.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Program Orchestration & Standards Implementation
  2. Prepare and facilitate Steering Committees for this billion-euro program
  3. Establish governance structures, tools, and KPIs for success
  4. Ensure adherence to guidelines and processes
  5. Monitor environmental changes and support problem-solving
  6. Manage and optimize the program budget
  1. Data Excellence & Digital Innovation
  2. Develop URS for project management tools and stakeholder reports
  3. Track milestones, budgets, and deliverables using enterprise software
  4. Maintain a single source of truth for data and explore AI use cases
  5. Create dashboards and KPIs for progress tracking
  6. Leverage advanced data visualization and analytics technologies

About You

  • Education: Advanced degree in engineering, pharmacy, biotechnology, or related field; Project Management certification from PMI, IPMA, or similar is highly desirable
  • Experience: At least 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry with proven project management and governance expertise, and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Technical Skills: Experience managing pharmaceutical programs, budgeting, risk management, KPI tracking, and developing reports and dashboards; proficiency with PMO tools (e.g., SharePoint); familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulations
  • Languages: Excellent in English and German; additional languages and intercultural experience are a plus
