The International Payroll Manager will be responsible for building a solid international payroll process and creating a Shared Service Center across 12 countries to provide a compliant monthly workflow.
This role would suit a numerically minded, organized, and quick-to-learn individual who is keen to work as part of a dynamic and busy team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working in close cooperation with the international payroll providers to guarantee a legally flawless processing of the monthly payroll for each ANTECH country in compliance with country-specific requirements.
- Establishment of a shared service.
- Continuous improvement of payroll processes.
- Responsible for staying abreast of all payroll laws and payroll tax regulations as well as continuous improvement of processes and detection and remediation of any process defects.
- Responsible for the accurate management of all collected associates' master data across borders and the maintenance of those.
- Duties may include auditing and reconciling accounting records, preparation of periodic bank and insurance reports, internal control development, and documentation.
- Acts as payroll lead in system implementations and updates as the need arises.
- Coordinates and collaborates with P&O on new policies and amendments to existing policies that affect employees’ compensation and benefits.
- Calculation and processing monthly payroll figures, including deductions, commissions, variable, etc.
- Certifications and correspondence with authorities and offices.
- Coordinates with Accounting for financial reporting, auditing, and general ledger purposes.
- Maintains vacation, service award, holiday, bonus hour, and sick leave reports.
- Preparing monthly invoicing figures.
- Preparing salary cost calculations for sales proposals.
- Deliver process excellence and ability to problem solve quickly and effectively.
- Ensure ethical practices, in alignment with company values and Mars Five Principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Finance or similar.
- Previous Payroll experience is required.
- Further training in international income tax law or social security law.
- Experienced leader: 5 years experience in the role as manager and a minimum of 5 years of Payroll experience required.
- Proficient in MS Office package.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
- Can work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Excellent time-management, used to deadlines and communication skills.
- Decision-maker with good reasoning skills.
- Ability to work with complex international topics; quick learner.
- Fluent in English and German (C1+) – verbal and written (other European language is a plus).
- Confident working with people at all levels of the business.
