Planet Pharma are working with a Global Medical Company who are seeking a Project Engineering leader to join them onsite at their facility near Bielefeld.

We are looking for a Project Engineering Leader to join our team and take ownership of high-impact GMP projects while leading a growing team of engineers. This role is critical in reshaping project management operations, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and motivation.
• Manage investment projects ranging from new equipment installations to facility upgrades, with budgets between €100K–€3M.
• Redefine project management practices, ensuring PMI-compliant execution and process optimization.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee qualification measures including FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ to maintain compliance.
• Develop an internal and external service strategy for engineering and assembly service providers.
• Ensure proper GMP documentation and its handover to maintain regulatory standards.
• Drive change management, standing firm against resistance and making strategic decisions to improve operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience, managing technical teams in an engineering environment.
• 10+ years in GMP project management, handling complex budgets.
• Industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, or food production.
• Expertise in facility and process engineering, including freeze drying, ultra-pure media, HVAC, and refrigeration technology.
• Strong ability to navigate organizational change, communicate effectively, and lead structured transformations.
• Native-level fluency in German and excellent English skills.
