Elbe 1 GmbH is a leading consultancy company based in Hamburg, Germany, specializing in project management activities within the offshore wind and renewable energy industry. With a global reach, we provide comprehensive services encompassing strategy development, planning, early design consultancy, and project execution, right through to the operational phase of offshore wind farms.

To strengthen our team in Hamburg, we are currently searching for a Project Engineer (m/f/d) - Certification Management.

Your Tasks

• Lead and execute project certifications within offshore wind project teams.
• Develop and implement certification plans and track action items to ensure timely and quality document completion, aligned with milestones and schedules.
• Negotiate with stakeholders on certification scope, timeline, format, and content, including defending validation justifications to certifiers, suppliers, and authorities.
• Update certification requirements and documentation regularly, ensuring alignment with design principles.
• Compare and validate employer requirements with certification standards.
• Manage project interfaces with certification bodies, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
• Advise internal departments on best practices for certification, problem-solving, and industry-specific cases (e.g., load analysis, flange assessments, wind and ice loads).
• Support continuous improvement of standards and guidelines.
• Oversee the certification process and interactions with certifiers.
• Contribute to project management, including planning, progress tracking, client coordination, and documentation.

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or engineering field.
• Several years of professional experience in a technical environment, preferably in certification management and engineering.
• Knowledge of certification standards such as IEC, DNVGL-ST, and other norms relevant to offshore wind in Germany and Europe.
• Experience in the offshore wind or renewable energy sectors.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and beyond.
• Team-oriented with an interest in international project environments.
