Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in Verfahrenstechnik oder Maschinenbau erforderlich.

Project Engineer (m/f/d) Brownfield Biogas/Biomethane

Due to our dynamic growth, we are looking to strengthen the Engineering & Technology team at VORN Bioenergy as Project Engineer (m/f/d) Brownfield Biogas/Biomethane:

Your Responsibilities

• You will work together with a motivated team for the design, construction, and operation of biomethane projects. You will be our technical expert for brownfield projects and repowering of existing assets, consolidating VORN's pipeline of biomethane plants in Europe.
• You will be responsible for site visits and assessments on brownfield projects. You will elaborate engineer reports and assess all technical requirements for re-powering, including permitting topics and feedstock evaluation, consultation, and recommendations.
• You will support the identification of best-in-class, project-specific equipment and technologies, preliminary design and specifications, detailed cost assessment, purchase and site delivery management, and support the commissioning.
• You will prepare conceptual design and technical specifications for tender documents, conduct tender evaluations, and supervise fabrication, erection, and commissioning of brownfield projects.
• You will assist the Engineering and Technology team for the effective consolidation of brownfield projects, ensuring quality and deliveries within agreed deadlines.
• You will be the interface for project managers, assisting with engineering topics (permitting, drawings, documentation, etc.), scheduling, and budgeting activities for internal engineers and external contractors/consultants, coordinating engineering activities between project managers and leading internal engineering management.
• During the late stages of projects, you will coordinate detailed engineering activities, assuring excellent skills for the implementation of engineering standards and delivering detailed engineering for construction. You will provide guidance to construction regarding contracts, engineering requirements, material coordination, and overall project execution.
• Be the lead to ensure the application of standards developed by engineering in the pipeline of projects (development, execution, and operation) and document all engineering work developed in your projects.
• Manage project plans, project budgets, and coordinate activities, identifying and securing necessary approvals for all changes to project scope, budget, and/or schedule.

Your profile

• Completed studies in the field of process engineering, chemical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
• Good knowledge in project engineering with many years of proven experience in biogas/biomethane.
• Excellent communication skills, able to evaluate demands, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria, remaining calm and professional in conflicts with partners and suppliers. Knowledge of principles and practices, and functions on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Advanced level of German and Italian is mandatory, as these are key markets for brownfield projects. Proficiency in English for internal communication as the corporate language is also required.
• You are interested in renewable energy, eager to learn, and want to "step on the accelerator" with us.
