Fallprotec is a Luxembourgish company that conceptualizes, develops and sells protective equipment for work at height and access machines to perform building maintenance (BMU). Thanks to the great successes encountered by the initial range of product over last decade, Fallprotec develops more and more complex and technologic products such as autonomous hoist, robots… through self-founded R&D projects. The company is facing multiple challenges due to the international growth and the enlargement of the range of product. Today, almost half of the turnover is performed outside Europe and exports play a major role in our company development and corporate identity. Exports will continuously grow especially in South-East Asia, South America and the Middle East.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position requires a high level of organization and project management skills.

Within the Engineering department in collaboration with sales and production departments, your tasks are to:

1. Create and develop component and system requirements and specifications.
2. Optimize the concepts and designs with analytical and mechanical assessments.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to achieve integrated and optimized solutions.
4. Create conceptual and manufacturing shop drawings (2D and 3D).
5. Carry out the complete project management process (from design to onsite handover).
6. Contribute to improving products, processes, or any other activity within the company.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Education: 5 years University degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering
2. Experience: 0 to 3 years

EXPERIENCES/SKILLS

1. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
2. Design experience (2D and 3D). Ideally INVENTOR - AUTOCAD
3. Good understanding of customer requirements to translate them into technical solutions
4. Project Management skills
5. Sense of responsibility and urgency - Showing initiative, being proactive
6. Good analytical and problem-solving capability
7. Must be detail-focused
8. Willingness to travel occasionally
9. Able to work under pressure and autonomously
10. Teamwork
11. French or English is mandatory. Any other language would be an advantage
