Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf is seeking a Project Employee at the Technology Campus Freyung. The role involves supervising student projects, developing prototypes, and conducting courses in an international environment. You will undertake technical activities supervising student challenges. This includes developing hardware and software prototypes, advising students on technical issues, and training them in the latest computer science technologies such as artificial intelligence. You will manage projects within student challenges, establish contacts with companies, clarify challenge options, and support students with digitalization strategies. Additionally, you will plan and conduct courses and supervise students in workshops.
You hold a university degree in applied computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field. Ideally, you have experience from research projects and teaching. You should have solid knowledge of software development (especially Python and JavaScript), hardware and development platforms (Raspberry Pi, Linux), and experience with machine learning tools (Scikit-learn or Pytorch). Additional experience in project management and willingness to travel to DIT campuses and companies are desirable. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proficiency in German and English, a confident demeanor, social competence, and commitment are essential.
The salary is in accordance with TV-L, pay group E10, if the collective agreement requirements are met. The position is suitable for severely disabled persons, who will be given preference if equally qualified. Foreign degrees require a ZAB certificate evaluation (ZAB evaluation).
