Job Description

In this exciting role, you will take on both strategic and operational leadership of a complex project portfolio in the field of engineering, with a focus on instruments, software, and consumables. You will ensure that all projects are successfully implemented in alignment with our overall corporate strategy.

• You will lead your programs with full operational responsibility and oversee budget planning and control for the related projects. You are accountable for meeting timelines and quality standards.
• You understand the biological applications on a higher level which enables you to harmonize the related projects of your responsibility and form your program. Furthermore, you understand, challenge and contribute to the technical solutions in the development projects of your responsibility.
• You will serve as a central interface between interdisciplinary teams like e.g. production and marketing or regulatory affairs and you represent your programs as part of the business segment in regular company strategy and target meetings and report also directly to the leadership team and the company's owner.
• In your leadership role you will contribute to the ongoing development of the business segment and the R&D Engineering department. In doing so, you will identify and leverage synergies with other areas and teams in the company.
• Starting by steering projects by yourself, you will more and more guide and mentor project managers, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team. Your leadership skills and commitment will contribute to the development of a strong and agile team and work environment.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in engineering or a related technical field (Master's degree, PhD is a plus).
• You have several years of relevant professional experience, including substantial experience managing complex projects, ideally in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, biotech, pharma).
• You have a passion for technology and are well-versed in modern project management methods, a certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA) is a plus.
• You combine strong communication skills with diplomatic finesse; you inspire teams and lead sovereignly and with confidence - even in challenging situations. With higher layer stakeholders, like e.g. the company leaders, you communicate on eye level. You have an agile mindset and a pragmatic, hands-on attitude.
• You can speak English fluently and navigate comfortably in an international work environment. German is a plus.
