Program Manager, AMZL Launch & Expansion

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager to join our Launch and Expansion MEU team, focusing on Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands. This role is crucial in driving our infrastructure projects and network strategy to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience, and support sustainable growth in the region.

Projects will include partnering with real estate, engineering, finance, design and construction, public policy and other stakeholders to help expand the network of Amazon Logistics nodes in the EU to facilitate the organization’s growth plans, and other cross-functional Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering & Infrastructure initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

1. Lead and manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects across an assigned region and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
2. Oversee and plan new delivery station launches, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion.
3. Plan and oversee upgrades to existing sites, including office spaces, automation on the shop floor, and building infrastructure to enable vehicle fleet electrification.
4. Develop and implement network strategies to optimize cost per parcel.
5. Collaborate with operations teams to set and raise performance standards at site level.
6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, public policy, real estate, design and construction, and engineering, to ensure project success.
7. Develop comprehensive business cases and strategy documents with a goal to seek senior leadership approval, including director and VP level executives.

You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable leading large, complex, cross-functional programs. To be successful in this role, you will have a true hands-on approach, will demonstrate strong ownership and project management skills, and will be an effective communicator up to the senior management level. The successful candidate will continuously show a think big attitude and will look beyond their direct scope of responsibility.

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

1. Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
4. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
5. Strong project management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
6. Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
7. Willingness to travel within the assigned region.

BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN

1. Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.).
