Obsolete Site in Ansbach, Germany seeks a Pre-Kindergarten Program Associate for the CYS Strong Beginnings Pre-K Program. You will motivate children to develop kindergarten etiquette and school readiness skills, such as taking turns and walking in a line.

You will supervise children in line with DoD and Army policies, collaborate with the School Liaison Officer and local officials to ensure a smooth transition to Kindergarten, and complete mandatory training while tracking your IDP.

Qualifikationen

  • 18 months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
  • Possess and maintain a CDA or Military School-Age Credential.
  • 12 months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
  • AA degree with major emphasis in early childhood education or child development.
  • BA/BS degree with major emphasis in early childhood education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Home Economics, Special Education or related behavioral sciences.

Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation and a health assessment.
  • Successful completion of prescribed training (transition and/or annual) is required.
Qualifications

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following
  • Possess eighteen (18) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
  • Possess and maintain a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Military School-Age Credential.
Meet Entry-level requirements.
  • Possess twelve (12) months experience working in a group program with children and/or youth.
  • Possess AA degree with major emphasis in early childhood education or child development.
  • Possess BA/BS degree with a major emphasis in early childhood education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Home Economics, Special Education or related behavioral sciences.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • Experience working as a Lead Child and Youth Program Assistant, Child and Youth Program Technician, or Child and Youth Program Assistant (Target Level - 4) is highly preferred.

The experience and knowledge listed above MUST be reflected on your resume to be considered a highly preferred candidate.

Education

Proof of education is required at the time of application. Note: Education must be directly related to the position to be filled. General Education courses do not count toward the credit total. To be considered, transcripts must be in English, legible, show all courses taken, and reflect the name of the school as well as the name of the applicant. Failure to do so may result in an ineligible status.

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
