Job Description:
Major Function

Assist in the administration of program activities and oversight related to the furtherance of teen traffic safety awareness and education initiatives in Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration and oversight of active coalition member/stakeholder participation in the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition (FTSDC), and/or the number of teen traffic safety related educational content/materials, as defined within the FTSDC Strategic Action Plan.
  • Oversee and manage at least five “Weeks of Awareness” traffic safety campaigns in high schools across the state.
  • Assist in the administration of grant-related program reporting, purchasing, receiving, and the overall procurement process.
  • Assist in the management and administration of the number of unique visitors to the FTSDC website.
Minimum Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and two years of related experience. Experience in an educational or non-profit organization with a teen component is preferred.

Successful Candidate Qualities

Knowledge of the Traffic Safety Program, some grant writing knowledge, skills in operating personal computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), program coordination abilities, understanding and application of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, multitasking skills, effective communication (oral and written), relationship-building with diverse groups, planning and organizational skills, preparation of correspondence and shipping packages, handling purchase orders, invoice auditing, follow-up tracking, and ability to drive to meetings.
